Reading the reactions on Youtube it would probably have been a smarter move to release a video for "For The Rest Of My Life" or so. Now people are just calling him sexist and tacky. neutral

I don't get the whole 'sexist' criticism.People need to lighten up and realize that this is just entertainment.

Watching women shake their ass in front of an ass float is what is called entertainment these days? To me it just screams "I'm trying too hard to get you to pay attention to my videos so that y'all can keep me relevant".

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

The criticism is certainly over the top at times, but I still get it. It's not really "just" entertainment when you know youngsters are being influenced so much by what they see and here in the media. And what do they see? Half naked women shaking about and men watching them, grabbing them, talking dirty... "Yay"!

What's the deal with "Featuring this guy or that girl"?

Are these people not good enough to carry a song on their own?

Music has never been "just entertainment" and you know it.

I like the video boxed I also like the "Blurred Lines" video

His videos in the past were functional, but not very exciting.Notice that, for the first time in his career,he's got people talking about his videos.I think that's a good thing.

I know some women think this stuff is degrading, but it's just good fun lol

Sorry Soul, I agree with you on most things but I disagree on this. These videos have been very tacky. I could think of a million ideas for the Blurred Lines video and this one that he could have done.

Robin is fineeee, he can sing and he makes good R&B music but he's not creative "visually" which is pretty sad because he should be taking advantage of the new "audience" that he has.

I think it's a moot point, anyway.Music videos aren't the big deal that they used to be shrug I haven't seen an "outstanding" video by any artist,in the last ten years or so.

You're absolutely right, but Robin is not the first artist to make a video like this lol Rappers and rock bands have been doing that stuff for decades (offensive videos with half-naked women).

Hmmmm....a whole bunch of Black mother goddesses shaking and gyrating they're bodies around a white man. That image is so old. It goes to show that when we objectify our own women, then the white man thinks it's okay too. F-----

Absolutely. But this song and video has become enormously popular so it gained a broad audience. Plus people were probably not expecting this from Robin. Who by the way is quite new to most.

Yeah, this is definately the worst song on the album, I usually just skip it. I would have preferred if he would have released Ain't No Hat 4 That or Get In My Way as the next single. And the thing is, he does a pretty decent job at making a modern club song with "Feel Good".... Give It 2 U is a stupid and bad song, plain and simple.

Here are some good samples off of his album:

bored What's up with these damn shit hoppers guest starring on the songs? Hell, on "Blurred Lines" I had to mix in Marvin Gaye's "Got To Give It Up" over the part when the (c)rapper came in and then bring Robin back in when that shit hop bullshit section was over and I'm still not happy with my blends....but hey, it was a rush job and I can't be having the presence of gutter trash in my collection. evillol

"Ain't No Hat 4 That" should have been the next single. Now, THAT's a hot one.

I was hoping that "Oooh La La" would be the second single. That's the best track on the album, imo.

But we all know how record companies work lol They chose "Give It 2 U" because it features two "hot" rappers on it.It's a very commercial track that radio will have no problem embracing.

"Feel Good" is definitely a better song nod maybe that will be a future single

The cool thing about this album is,it's filled with potential singles.
