Boy George's Generations of Love... one of the best dance songs of the 90's?

This is a song from Boy George's Jesus Loves You project (When he was all Hare-Krishna, love, etc.). I consider it one of the ultimate dance songs. The words and Boy's voice are divine.

It has shitload of remixes, but my favorite is the one done by Ramp:

I have this album, but haven't listened to it in years. Forgot about it, but I used to play it a lot when it was originally out. I remember it has this folky sounding song called Bow Down Mister or something like that. It didn't sound like anything else on the album.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

There was going to be a second Jesus Loves You that was shelved because Boy George wanted to go rock.

This one of the few songs from that second album that got out.

Reminds me of my days (or better said 'nights') as a house head in the early 90's. Always loved the song, and still play it from time to time.
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

I agree, George definitely rode the house music scene very well in the early 90's. I especially love that he layed relatively "low" with it, using the Jesus Loves You moniker and choosing to start his own label, More Protein. In subsequent BG purchases, I always hoped he'd keep the JLY sound - but I guess it changed with the times (and probably for the better). His turn with the Pet Shop Boys on 'The Crying Game' was an amazing comeback! Now, as I've matured, I only hope he releases something meaningful, albeit commercial, just to show his critics he is a valid star with more potential than old Culture Club hits and negative press for his behavior.

**And "Bow Down Mister" is an amazing, somewhat uplifting little ditty I still play from time to time from this early 90's gem. lol
