Yes, you can tell, can't you? I'm so loving it. I've been listening to that snippet on SoundCloud over and over, again. LOL. It really is hot stuff:)

No, no, no....! Prince 4Ever.

I like that remix, but I gotta admit...it removes alot of the energy from the original song. The 1982 recording is a relentless,take-no-prisoners groove that forces Donna to hang on for dear life...lol....this remix is more restrained, but I still like it.

IMHO: A remix is supposed to sound different than the original. Maybe, retain some elements of the original, but that's it. Of course, that's entirely up to the remixer. This mix is not as good as the "Love To Love You, Baby" or "Hot Stuff" remixes on this forthcoming cd, but I still think it's good. Of course, the vocal arrangements are the same, but aside from that, it's different. This remix captures more of Donna and less of Quincy. The original seemed to have more of Quincy's production and more backing vocals than Donna's vocals. At least, it seems that way to me, to some degree. The good thing about it all is that the original is still available whenever one wants to hear it and this newly constructed version is available to for those who want to hear it. That's the beauty of music, original recordings, and creative remixing: There's something for everybody:)

Just wanted to chime in that the variety of remixers is pretty nice here. There are classic names and hot, upcoming names that should each provide interesting takes on Donna's classic tunes. Folks like Duke Dumont and Benga were a bit surprising to see on the tracklist, but very welcome to someone into their sound. Should introduce this timeless voice to a whole new generation.
Sad there isn't a new version of Deep Down Inside, that tune gives chills to my spine every time. Anyone know of a release containing a good quality stereo version of the full version? The one I have is a bit vinyl-y.
The unreleased track sounds quite interesting too!!

In 1979,Giorgio Moroder produced an album by a band called Sparks.Their first single was a song called "La Dolce Vita".On this remix album,we get to hear Donna's version.

Hi, Jeidee! Where did you get your "Down Deep Inside" from? There's also an even slower version of it as well.

Is this the same song that will be on "Love To Love You, Donna!"? Or, is it just a song of the same name?

in this video, you can hear a little of Donna's "La Dolce Vita"....at the 1:22 minute point.....

Yes, I remember hearing this snippet after Donna passed on to the next life. I don't think the version on her upcoming remix album is the same as the one by the group, Sparks. [Edited 9/9/13 16:18pm]

"Love To Love You, Donna" is now listed on iTunes for preorder and "Our Love (Krystal Klear Remix)" is listed as a bonus track. Audio snippets, hopefully, to follow. [Edited 9/10/13 2:45am]

"Our Love" is a perfect song for a project like this.I'm satisfied with the tracklist, but I'd like to see more rare songs included, instead of just the well-known hits.Maybe they should make another volume of this album? If I were a modern day DJ/remixer,I'd love to do something with "Now I Need You"...an incredible, underrated tune that is just begging for a modern remix.

I don't generally 'do' remixes, especially nasty modern ones that suck all of the disco out of my favourite late '70s/early '80s dance classics, but hey, it's Donna, so I'll give this album a chance.
I'd really prefer a CD remaster/reissue of the TGIF soundtrack mentioned further up the thread, though, not the stupid truncated version that they released in the '90s - and which is presumably out of print now anyway. Plus, expanded CD remasters of the original studio albums, but I've already asked for those until I was blue in the face anyway. Meh. [Edited 9/10/13 16:51pm] [Edited 9/10/13 16:53pm]

You're probably not going to like the "On The Radio" version on this remix project. It's entirely different than the original and most reactions I've read online are negative. This may be one for the younger dance/club listeners/goers of this generation. This mix might be categorized as 'garage', I'm speculating. It's not the kind of mix I'm used to liking, like the "Love To Love You, Baby" and "Hot Stuff" versions I've heard from this release. However, I am starting to appreciate its different-ness the more I listen to it and that's good:) [Edited 9/11/13 2:34am]
