Hell Yeah!!! Cody ChesnuTT - Til I Met Thee

Ok just saw this video on tv. You may have heard it but not me. It sounds like the the second coming of Marvin Gaye? Love the song and video.

We gonna come on with the come on, gonna get down with the get down!

It's a wonderful track. One of the best ones on the new album.

Yes, it literally sounds like the second coming of Marvin Gaye. lol

Not that original if you think about it, but I still think he's done incredible work with this track and a few others that sound like Marvin's stuff.

Great song, I definitely hear the Marvin influence music

the voice isn't the "second coming" of Marvin by far, but the influence is very evident in the phrasing. okay song IMO, better video. I feel for true artists like Cody in the current musical climate. are there really enuff folk to sustain them so they can "eat" off their work? he and countless others seem hopelessly fringe

I think so. Cody may not be a household name anywhere, but he's an underground favourite on a global scale. For example, tonight he's performing here in Finland for the fifth time. Last time I went to see him the venue was sold out.

Landing on a hundred is a fantastic album, no less. Also worht checking out a few songs from his debut album The headphone masterpieces where Serve This Royalty sticks out as a true masterpiece.
