Recommend Sarah Vaughan Best Albums/Collections? I have Ella, but not Sarah. Can anyone recommend 3-5 of her best albums starter, or a all in one collections that has her best stuff. Thanks in advance. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

Listen for her version of "My Man's Gone Now." It is mind-blowing the notes she holds and the octave range she goes for. That's true throughout a lot of the Gershwin material, and there is a lot of playfulness in some of the lyrics. In her youth, she was such an amazing singer, it is hard to believe she wasn't, like, the first major vocal celeb of her time. I don't know if it is because of her race and the period, or what - as it seems like all of those black vintage divas struggled (Ella, Dinah, Billie, Esther, Lena, etc...). Insead of our present generation referring to Xtina, Mariah, and Whitney... it really started with the talents of people like Vaughan. 'Hope you like your selections!
