Wow! I've never heard that JBs track before. I thought Fishbone was the first band to do a song with nothing but names and call letters of different radio stations.

Some groups would record a special version of their current singles for the local radio stations. I remember Whodini did this with Five Minutes Of Funk, where an extra verse was added to the beginning. I haven't heard it since then, but I think the group was naming the DJ's on the R&B station. Rock Master Scott & The Dynamic Three also did this on Request Line for the same station. For awhile, the station would play these special versions instead of the regular ones.
