negative Janelle Monae thread (probably) Why two discs though?
She's the only one in the industry that gets to release a double album?
On the release that is supposed to gain an audience? |

Who was the last artist in modern day Pop or R&B that successfully released a double disc? First one that comes to mind is OutKast joint, "The Love Below/Speakerboxx". And that was how many years ago.

Doesn't two disc normally cost more too? They must be sitting on some monster tracks over there. |

She has two versions right? One disc and 2 disc versions to generate more income. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment |

She releases two discs simply because she wants to? Not everyone writes and records enough songs for that in the mainstream.
Christina Aguilera's 2006 album Back To Basics was also a double album and it sold decently. |

don't know if the non target version with 19 tracks will be on a single disc..it's not very clear yet...but the itunes version is there if someone wants one disc and that for sure is all united ...all I know is that as far as I heard until now this album is killer I don't care if they publish it in 1, 2, 3 discs...all that matters is the music inside for me... |

Twenty years ago, Quincy Jones went on a mission. Ever since the legendary producer launched VIBE in 1993 (following a test issue in ’92), Q’s dream publication has been the cornerstone of a culture, cranking out iconic stories and snapshots, from hip-hop to soul to hollywood, fashion and politics. Now, it's time to toast and two-step.
And who better to jump-start the party than Robin Thicke and Janelle Monáe. While Thicke, in all his falsetto glory, has finally hit a professional climax—landing his first No. 1 album,Blurred Lines, and a chart-topping single (see album title)—Janelle continues her own progressive path toward greatness. So we paired up Mr. Blue-Eyed Soul and the eccentric lady to help VIBE celebrate 20 strong years.
Click through for the full cover story featuring Robin and Janelle, plus more exclusive content throughout the week. And stay tuned. We’ve got two more covers in the chamber and more than a few bottles to pop (for real).
