Need Help finding Artist of this old R&B song from 2002.... I know Orgers know their R&B Jams. I need help finding the artist who sings this song. It was a R&B song out around 2002 I used to hear it on my radio every once in a while but I never knew who sang it. the Lyrics were something like:Excuse me girl i didn't know you were married...Im just sitting here checking out your style....I didn't see that wedding ring on your finger...you're kind of young to be settled down....girl excuse me i didn't know you were taken....I'm just sittin here checking out your vibe... | |

I made a mistake. I heard it on Xm radio. They often play stuff that isn't on main stream radio. It may have been a 90's song they were playing in 2002. | |

I used to have the song on a mixed cd a friend made me. I thought the singer was Ladae or something???? I was thinking something with a "L". It was a dude or a male group. But I have since....lost the cd and I was trying to find the song again. It was a slower song. | |

I don't think it's Ladae. I know them from "Party 2nite," which sampled "Show You the Way to Go." They released a couple slow songs from their debut album, but none that have those lines. I haven't heard either of their albums in full though.
This must be an obscure song, because I'm pretty well versed in '90s R&B. I can't imagine it was a single that received even minor national airplay or I'm confident I would recognize it. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis | |
