This one sounds like a blues song:

There is nothing that can match the impact SHR had on our generation. I've always said, I was born at the right time. I've lived through and witnessed so many historic music firsts that was targeted to me at the time.
Thank goodness there is youtube (the ultimate time machine), that these memories will live on and inspire, but it's nothing like being a kid in the 70's and a teen in the 80's. That's if you're into music and pop culture.
-------
I just tolerate the 90's and beyond. | |

I love Schoolhouse Rock! As a kid growing up in the 70s,Schoolhouse Rock was a major part of my Saturday mornings....lol...eating cereal by the TV and watching stuff like "lolly,lolly,lolly....get your adverbs here".

I was such a huge fan of the show (I even remember my mom buying the now rare-vinyl album for Multiplication Rock!)
...
Since all the favorites are posted I wanted to just give it up for the Jazz and Pop voices of the musicians behind the tunes:
...
Bob Dorough (Three is a Magic Number, etc....)
...
...
Jack Sheldon (Conjunction Junction, I'm Just A Bill)
...
...
Blossom Dearie (Figure 8, Unpack Your Adjectives)
...
...
Grady Tate (Naughty Number Nine)
...
...
Lynn Ahrens - (Nouns, Interjections, No More King, etc...)

They were extremely well written and memorable songs. This was back when the FCC required all broadcast networks devote a percentage of their airtime to family and educational entertainment. That provision was overturned in the 90s thus killing this type of programming except on PBS. [Edited 8/18/13 11:50am] | |
