Bands be JAM-min' Mon! Never seen any of these groups discussed here (beyond Dumpstaphunk by me). They're generally on what's called the Jam Band circuit. From what I can tell by listening to their music channel on Sirius/XM, the only requirements is that they actually have to play their instruments, groove (whether it be Jazz/Rock/Country/etc based) and have some level of improvisation. The bands generally attract a dressed down crowd who are simply there to have a good time enjoying the music. Pimps of Joytime...
