The B-52's , featuring Nile Rodgers - "Topaz" (1989)

...

From the album, Cosmic Thing (1989).

Nile Rodgers and Don Was produced the album-- But for this track, Nile decided to come from behind the boards, and add his signature Rhthym Guitar.....

Planet Claire and Rock Lobster are about the only 2 tracks I can get into from these folks.

Channel Z is one very funky track. I love most of the B52's material and I've been lucky enough to see them live.

Cosmic Thing was a commercial high, but my favourite album is 'Bouncing Off The Satellites'. Some seriously wacked out songs on that album. smile

Was "Roam" not on this album? I thought Nile Rodgers produced that one. (I have the CD single).

Really no filler on this? I like their early 80s stuff.

Ive seen them 3 times in the late 90's early 00's and 2 times one of the women were under the weather and the other Kieth's father had just died the day before the show. They did a great shows, but you could tell they weren't at 100%. sad

No filler. Even the instrumental that closes the album is ace.

They were killer the last time I saw them a few years ago in support of the Funplex album.

Follow Your Bliss is one of the best tracks on the album.
