Depeche Mode Before They Went Dark

While i like most fans like the bands darker music a lot more... it is fun to listen to the pre-Black Celebration and on records.

It is actually amazing how innocent and playful the band once sounded! they were a synth pop boy band then become gothic rock stars just a few years later.

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

WE all have to grow up eventually and indeed they did after MFTM. I don't have all the album prior to Masses but I feel they were getting darker right around Black Celebration. I'm going to give Delta Machine another spin to see if I still like it.
