Controversial r&b singer R. Kelly didn't disappoint a huge crowd in Cincinnati, Ohio at the annual Macy's Music Festival (a/k/a the Jazz Fest) by living up to his imaghe of drama. The two day event drew record crowds for both night with a Friday night lineup of Charlies Wilson, Jill Scott, TGT, and Bootsy Collins; and Saturday: Leela James, Morris Day and The Time, Fantasia, KEM and the headliner who was 90 minutes late - Kelly.

He was slated to go on at 11:45PM, but didn't take the stage to nearly 1AM.

According to promoters they stayed in constant contact with Kelly's management from 6pm till 11:45pm when he was slated to go on stage. In the last communication, his management stated they didn't know where he was.

His tour bus arrived at the Paul Brown Stadium at 12:30AM.

Many festival goers booed as the Pied Piper of r&b and pee took the stage. He at one point walked off stage because he claimed the crowd, which by now had been greatly reduced due to the lateness of his arrival, which I might add had no explanation offered to the crowd.

Audience members also complained that Kelly was lip-synching in his set.

Overall a bad blemish on what was otherwise a great weekend.
