Aretha Franklin is slated to appear in her first concert since undergoing medical treatmet since her appearance via satellite on the season finale of American Idol.

Franklin, who underwent unspecified surgery for a tumor in 2010, was forced by her doctirs to cancel 5 concert appearance in Chicago, Connecticut, 2 in Canada and one in Detroit for these treatments. The Queen of Soul ahs not been seen publically since May.

The concert is in Atlanta is at the Fox Theatre on September 21st. Last time Franklin was there, she sold it out.

Additionally Miss Franklin is scheduled to be in Chicago to get an award by Major League Baseball on August 24th. The award is called the Beacon Award as a oart of The Civil Rights Game weekend.

Cool! Hopefully, this means she'll be able to make up the Detroit show, somewhere between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve.

In her press release she told her Detroit fans she would see them next Summer.
