Have we done an After 7 thread yet? I loved the group After 7. They made have come out in the nineties but they sounded like true old school singers to me. Diggin' On You, Can He Love You Like This...their best of is a must have. What do you guys think?

I dug these Cats&always felt they should have gotten some of that Boyz11Men Love.these Cats Could Sing/Sang IMHO.for me they were like a Up-dated take on the Group Taveras.I could hear there Versatility."Nights like this" the Cut Jesse Johnson Wrote on them is a Knock Out Slow Jam IMHO!they added&took Babyface the Writer&Producer to a whole different level IMHO.Arguably the Best stuff He ever cut was on them overall.I like a Couple of His Albums&the Album with El Debarge is up there for me of stuff He has done, but Him&After7 truly knocked it out the Box. mistermaxxx

Tavares was the shit! I can hear shadows of them on Nights Like This. We could start a whole other thread on people who have worked with Babyface cuz most of their stuff was tight! The album he had with El DeBarge, to this day, is still one of my all-time favorites. Had they promoted that album properly, it could have sold millions. Here in Chicago, they played a lot of it on the radio, but played more than one song at once so it didn't get the airplay it deserved. Where Is My Love? Damn, that joint was hot!

"Can't Stop" is such an irresistible R&B jam.

Yeah, I remember them, they had a song called "Baby I'm for real" (Natural high), it was sooo nice, I used to love hearing it whenever it came on the radio... [This message was edited Wed Mar 12 10:00:50 PST 2003 by Starmist7]
