I've heard the remix of Blurred Lines and wasn't that crazy about it. I haven't heard the remix for "4 The Rest Of My Life." I will be grabbing this tomorrow, though.

I think Thicke's album should be in my iTunes folder today; I heard the extra cuts from the "deluxe album"... nice but ain't worth the extra change. (IMHO)

I don't think Jamiroqui got the attention these folks are getting for doing the same style of music, that just so happens to be close to a decade old. I can always go back to Jamiroqui, I just enjoy Robin for the moment, but will I revisit Robin 5/10 years from now?

I was a past Robin Thicke hater but Ooo La La has converted me. The rest of his album is okay, I think he made better songs in the past but I can dig it. I listened to ooh la la 10 times in a row I'm sorry but that song gives me so much life. He really needs to make this a single, he would be crazy not to.

“Robin Thicke has a big dick,” goes a slogan in the controversial unrated video for the Star Trak/Interscopestar’s megahit “Blurred Lines.” Whatever the size of his actual equipment, no one can deny that the man has a big record.

His album (also called Blurred Lines) debuts at #1 on our Album Sales Chart this week with 174k. It’s a career best for Thicke, who sold 137k in his leadoff week with 2008’s Something Else.

If "Blurred Lines", Robin Thicke's massive, couldn't-possibly-miss, sometimes controversial hit made you clutch at your pearls at the salaciousness of it all then the rest of this album will have you fanning yourself – in all kinds of places.

The heat is turned all the way up on this trim and scandalously enticing collection of funk, soul and RnB dancefloor fillers. Any danger that a song as ubiquitous and so dang catchyas "Blurred Lines", or its status as one of the most suggestive pop songs to have been allowed on radio (or Youtube for that matter, judging by the infamous video's parade of scantily clad models) would overwhelm everything else Robin has to offer is defused as soon as second track "Take It Easy On Me" starts up. It’s a beat-heavy club banger that bears the unmistakable stamp of producer Tim 'Timbaland' Mosley, who also drops some verses.

Robin has for most of his career played second, even third fiddle as contemporaries such as Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, et al went on to score all the #1s, the Grammys and the acclaim. But now on his 6th studio album, and bolstered undoubtedly by the incredible success of THAT song, Blurred Lines the album shows Robin's effortless knack for melody and charm and an audible SEXINESS.

There is no wasted space to be found here. Each of the 10 tracks make an impression, and collectively the album is a cohesive and effective party-starter – whether on the dancefloor or between the sheets.

Robin is smooth and charismatic all the way through, inviting you into his kaleidoscope world of pure pleasure seeking. And that falsetto is a panty-dropper, not gonna lie.

"Ooo La La" - I will resist the obvious because I've heard "Blurred Lines" so many times now I find myself turning to any of the countless covers (check out the brilliant Radio 1 session covers by Vampire Weekend and Queens of the Stone Age) and parodies for some perspective. "Ooo La La" is a song that reminds me of my favourite time – the 90s, when the pop charts were filled with blissful love songs by Mariah Carey, Aaliyah and En Vogue and Maxwell's sweet croon could lift your mood in seconds. I miss those days…

Worst Track:

There are no bad songs here, but some of the lyrics on "Give It 2 U" featuring Kendrick Lamar will need to be kept away from children and mother grundies.

It's kinda old skool - which just makes my heart sing - and edgy enough to keep things interesting. Blurred Lines is about the most sensuous thing I’ve heard this century. And you know what, I can think of about 10 things that rhyme with "hug me"!

Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' tops Billboard album, digital charts

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - R&B singer Robin Thicke landed his first No. 1 album on Wednesday as his latest record, "Blurred Lines," topped the Billboard 200 album chart, led by the single of the same name that has become one of this summer's biggest hits.

Thicke's sixth studio album sold 177,000 copies in its first week, according to figures from Nielsen SoundScan. The album features collaborations with rappers Kendrick Lamar, T.I. and singer/producer Pharrell Williams.

The album's lead single, "Blurred Lines," featuring T.I. and Williams, spent seven weeks at No. 1 onthe Billboard Hot 100 singles chart this summer.

Thicke, 36, son of Canadian actor Alan Thicke, first emerged a decade ago with the album "A Beautiful World" and reached a new level this year with the catchy, raunchy hit "Blurred Lines," which also yielded an eyebrow-raising, nudity-filled video.

The single also climbed back to No. 1 on Billboard's Digital Songs chart this week after being knocked off by One Direction's "Best Song Ever" last week. "Blurred Lines" sold 400,000 downloads this week, bringing its total digital tally to 4.2 million since its release in March.
