OMG! The Girls & Nona Hendryx Albums Remastered! Went to Rasputin Music and they had copies of both. Even though I'm broke as hell, I couldn't resist. I almost wanted to cry, lol. I never thought I'd see The Girls on CD, EVER!!! They had other remasters like Ray Parker Jr. which was very tempting but I resisted. I also don't want another collection of cds in my house since I alraedy own so many.....

Those Nona Hendrix and Ray Parker CDs were actually reissued last year by FTG, quickly went out of print (that "Nona" CD was going for over $100 on ebay and amazon) and now they, along with lots of other previously reissued titles, are being reissued for a second time by FTG. Get them for those great prices while you can! "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Are you serious? That's crazy! Thanks for the tip. I really want to rack up on all of them. I just might over time. I'm probably the only one in this area who is hip to those classic albums.
Have you purchased any of these remastered albums?

Yes. Funky Town Grooves (FTG) and Big Break Records (BBR) have gotten rich off of all of all the reissues I've purchased from them over the years. Both companies produce fantastic quality reissues from master tapes (although BBR has been accused of vinyl rips for some of the 12-inch versions but it's hard to tell). Although I lean a bit more towards FTG because they had more First-Time-On-CD titles, BBR has the best liner notes. Can't believe you are not hip to these cats! Visit their websites. They are treasure-troves for old-school R&B/Soul music fans!!!!! "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I'll have to take a listen to this. People keep raving about them but I've never heard of this group. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Look up there song, "Don't Waste My Time", on youtube. It was produced by Andre Cymone. I think you'll like it. They had another track called, S-E-X-E-X(I think that's how they spelled it, I no longer have my vinyl copy lol).

I almost shit when FTG announced that they'd be remastering/reissuing The Girls on CD for the first time! Almost 30 years later! I had a vinyl copy of it that I stupidly lent to a girl at work who had five kids. It came back the following week covered in scratches/fingerprints. She said her kids ate fried chicken and then used my album as a frisbee. I had never gotten another copy of it since (1985.) I'm so glad I've got it now on CD! Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

I listened to the samples on FTG. Not really feelin' it. I'll have to skip this one. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

It's a girl group created by Andre Cymone.Their one and only album was released in late 1984.It was rumored that he was trying to compete with Prince and his Apollonia 6 group....
