Okay there's still hope for this project

i like the song "artpop" it sort of reminds me of a eurythmics song,

although i really don't know why

but yeah, although the itunes show seems a big clusterfck of a gig,

i'm actually liking these songs more than most on BTW.

having watched the whole itunes performance i get a strong

vibe from it that she's on the esoteric "way of the fool".

the channeling of boticelli's venus is the major hint but also

the imagery and symbolism in the rest of the show.

at least that's my take on it and it makes watching what is

in essence quite a car crash of a show, a lot more interesting.

I LOVE the title track!!! So 80s!!!! "People Are People"-esque.

I really, really like "Manicure," too. Very excited for the entire album!!!!!

I kind of love that she seems to be eschewing most of the catchy pop melodies that she was starting to get comfortable with on the last record, and is taking some risks. I think the fans who want her to rule the charts and the radio are going to be disappointed because ARTPOP doesn't really sound radio friendly.

The iTunes show was kind of fascinating to watch. It was very disjointed, and felt more like performance art at times than a proper concert. The pauses and general pacing were sometimes awkward, along with her anecdotes, and even some of the music. But it was all quite intriguing.

She's like this odd contradiction of a cult artist who wants to be a pop superstar, which reminds me of Prince in the 80's, though you're not really sure if she's being ironic about the notion of fame because her thirst seems entirely genuine.

She's a bit of a paradox, and I can understand why she's so polarizing, but I'm glad she's around to keep things interesting.

I watched part of the show, but it was just a lot of EDM-noise ("Manicure", yikes!). I do like the title track, though.

What I didn't like is that basically she was singing along to a full backing track for most of the show. You see musicians (especially the guitarist) rocking out in the background but they sure weren't playing live!
