What a stupid wannabe freakshow. I don't know why pop culture decided to make this crackhead a star. Her music is terrible, and she acts like someone I'd be tempted to chuck a rock.

I'm usually not crazy about the stuff she releases, but Applause is pretty catchy, I like it.

Whatever semblance of a melody there is, is barely heard before it gets pummeled to death by the production. It's a poor choice for the lead single.

I couldn't agree more. I think she's starting to lose the touch she had. What she did back in 2009 to 2011 was art. She rejuvenated pop during a time when R&B and rap took over most of the music scene. She's trying to hard to make a comeback. She was at her best when she wasn't trying to be successful. I hope she gets on the right path or that this song isn't a fair assessment of the album

Well the guitarist for Whitesnake worked on her album so i am still hoping for a hard rock song or 2. The image she has is giving me a Peter Gabriel, David Bowie vibe but the music... is giving me cake cake cake cake cake ass ass ass ass ass ass.

Also that Mickeys place is like 5 miles from my apt it was packed in West Hollywood cause that is ''gay town'' and they pracitcally worship her there

I didn't know about Whitesnake. I really hope she's just picking a bad lead single like she did with Born This Way. Hopefully she picked it because she knows the gay clubs are going to play it like crazy. It's only been two days and the song already has over 7 million views on youtube. Those gay clubbers really are devout

Sadly, that stellar promise was short-lived, and it seemed to descend rapidly into a car crash of epic proportions. Long story short, the rest of the set left me entirely cold - and I say this as someone who's been along for the ride since she used to play the White Parties etc.

When I first heard this song (when it was refered to as "Burqa"), I was sort of 'meh.' But I REALLY like it here!!!
