Pet Shop Boys - Electric I'm always rooting for these guys, so much so that I even defend their mediocre recent output to people, because it's still better than most other pop (much like, hmm, Prince).
But this new album is just an indisputible masterpiece - I think it's my favorite of theirs. How they managed to sound so current and yet still sound so completely themselves is some kind of miracle.
My current favorite: Inside a Dream - just brillant stuff

I love it. I don't think they've put out a bad album. i'm fans of all of them to varying degrees. i have a particular fondness for Release and Nightlife, 2 albums many fans don't care for.
But i agree - overall - this is one of their finest works.
Here's my review of it if anybody is interested:

I'd rank it somewhere around: 1. Actually 2. Behaviour 3. Introspective 4. Electric 5. Nightlife Although this is just for right now. Flourescent is one of their best tracks period. Just absolutely love it. Inside A Dream is great too.

Love Thursday, the album is banging! Come to think of it, there's a good name for a PSB album!
I actually think that Fundamental onwards has been a PSB renaissance. I think Elysium's 'problem' was the running order, there's some really good stuff on there.

Brilliant album, so cool that they are still cutting edge and making music they want to. 3121... Don't U Wanna Come?

Nice review! I love the way the song sequence flows - hasn't been an album I've wanted to play front to back like this in a LONG time. [Edited 7/18/13 19:32pm]

The way I see their career, this is another step in the right direction. I mean, I can't see it as a renaissance, since I think Fundamental was their renaissance (maybe because of working with Trevor Horn again?), and all the records they've done since then, including Elysium, sound great to my ears.
