i watched the video of this performance today... it blows my mind... i know it wouldn't be to some ppl's taste.. but i love it... love the singing, as well as the playing... and of course it's always cool to see mitch doin' his thing... sadly though...at the end of the tape... it says jimi died 18 days later... he didn't look well at all on this video...he had a lost look in his eyes imo... jimi

yes i believe isle of whight was one of Jimi's last performances with the band of gypsies ive seen the isle of wight peformance and its not that he didnt look well... he was just basically tired, Warner was dickin' him no surprise there... drugs was taking its toll on him... all people wanted was Haze and foxy during performances.Jimi's death was ruled as accidental death in 1970 due to his Girlfriend not calling the ambulence because there was weed in the house. ( true story)

i love the isle of white video... it's funny to see jimi's face when he hits certain notes in this film- like he's angry or disgusted or something... i can't imagine being able to play that good and he's getting frustrated by the notes he's hitting... :LOL:...

It has been said many times that he couldn't hear himself and thought the whole performance was a disaster. You can tell by those looks on his face.

I don't worship the man, I worship the music and even his worst performance (I have too many boots) leaves me in awe.
