Alison and Beth A friend of mine sang "Alison" by Elvis Costello to me earlier today, and it reminded me of what a beautiful song this is. Anyone else like this song?

I love "Beth" by Kiss...I stumbled across it while trying to find a song with my name in it (my name is Bethann). "Beth" was the closest thing I could find.  It's a sweet song. No Use For a Name (a punkish band) covered it...their version, although they break into the 90210 theme at the end (  ) is good as well. | |

I like Costello's "Allison." Beth by Kiss is cornball. I haven't heard any of Chicago's 70s material that I didn't like.

I just downloaded that song...I like it! I also read that it was originally about a girl named Alison, but since Elvis Costello already had a song about a girl named Alison, it was changed and is about the jazz pianist, Mose Allsion. I'm gonna check out some more...can you recommend an album of theirs? | |

I've listened to them since the late 80's and had no idea they had announced a comeback, until I found their website. Their music always seems to find a spot in my player, so it's nice to see they're still continuing. Hopefully the new album, supposedly due out later this year, won't be a disappointment. | |
