Bob Marley and the Wailers - Legend Remixed

For the first time, Bob Marley and the Wailers’ iconic 1984 album, Legend, is re-imagined for Legend Remixed, an inspired new spin on the reggae classic out June 25. Legend’s 16 tracks have been remixed by an array of DJs and producers, including ten time Grammy winner Stephen Marley, Pretty Lights, Thievery Corporation, Jason Bentley, Z-Trip with Lee “Scratch” Perry, Photek, Jim James, Roni Size, RAC, Beats Antique, Nickodemus & Zeb, as well as Ziggy Marley, who turns out a new rendition remix of "Redemption Song."

"Legend Remixed is a take on the classic album from what I can only describe as a “far out perspective.” The concept Jason and I discussed from the get go was to approach this as an eclectic expression of artistic pieces that would take the songs somewhere else while respecting the original recordings. This is an adventure in music, a “soul adventure.” Our father’s music from the very earliest times showed a willingness to be inclusive of sounds from the universe of music. His mind, heart and ears were open, as he once said “Music can’t stick to the same t’ing otherwise it become mechanical: music have to have fluent, music have to have some kinda adventure, enjoyment. It go and you come.” Nothing will ever be better than the originals, we know that. This is just another experience and another way to experience Legend. Enjoy the ride." - Ziggy Marley

Hmmm... Should this be re-mixed?

I'd say "no" too. I will give a listen out of curiosity but, I'm not sure how you go about remixing classic reggae?

As stated already, there are some albums you just don't mess with, and "Legend" is one of those.

Little? Yeah, right. It might be little but it's loud

Totally agree. I won't buy it. I love my original Legend.
