Left Eye’s Family Upset They Weren’t Involved In TLC Biopic
When it was announced VH1 would be developing a... group TLC, fans were excited and yet apprehensive as to who would be cast as the Atlanta trio. As it turns out, the family of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was also apprehensive about the biopic because they weren’t informed or included in the pre-production process. In an interview with 4UMF, Left Eye’s younger sister Reigndrop Lopes says the family was never notified about the VH1 film nor was their input ever requested. Many of the members of Left Eye’s family are hurt behind it. Reigndrop Lopes also talked about the relationship between the members of TLC at the time of Lisa’s death. When asked about the relationship between the TLC band mates, Reigndrop replied:
On the Lopes family involvement in the biopic and 20th anniversary tour:
The only way I can kind of feel is just disappointed and hurt. I can’t point the finger at anyone ’cause I don’t know whose decisions these are. It could be a collective decision, it could be one person, I have no idea. But the family always wants to be involved in anything dealing with Lisa, you know what I mean? And TLC deals with Lisa. So we support as much as we can. Me and my brother flew out to London to be there when TLC accepted their award, and, let’s see, what award did they get. I can’t remember the title of it, but the MTV Japan Awards is happening on June 22, and me and my mom are flying out there to represent for Lisa. So we always want to be involved.” Her thoughts on casting Lil Mama as Left Eye:
Reigndrop Lopes revealed plenty of the inner turmoil going on inside of the Lopes family concerning the TLC biopic and possible upcoming tour, but there is more to the interview than that. Read the rest of the interview at 4UMF.com.

They should talk to Brian Wilson. There's been three or four biopics on the Beach Boys and every one made him look like a lazy whiner who stole all his good ideas, while presenting Mike Love as the sensible one who did everything right and came up with most of those good ideas that Brian stole.
