Marcella Detroit NEW CD (former Shakespear's Sister singer) Marcella Detroit is back with a new CD. It is called "The Vehicle," in reference to how music is a vehicle for her to express herself, see the world, and take her places. The first single, "Good Girl Down" is quite soulful, as is the CD itself, and a MUCH better women's empowerment anthem than, say, Cher's recent "Woman's World" song. Marcella competed in last season's "Pop Star to Opera Star" (on the BBC) but failed to win the top spot (she came mighty close however)... which was amazing. Detroit was a co-writer of "Lay Down Sally" with Eric Clapton, and it is her high voice you hear on the recording with him. Also on the new CD, she closes with a 2013 update of Shakespear's Sister's "Stay" - perhaps the duo's best known song. Her new rendition is more mature, without the over-the-top drama it initially had. Please check it out!
