Still have it. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

The 1st regular music album I had was a Fats Domino compilation on 8-track on the infamous Pickwick Records. I think it's in a box at my grandmother's house. These are the first albums I remember owning myself--I don't remember when I got what.
\
Hey--I was eight years old. Actually, before that I'd kind of taken control of an eight-track my parents had of Redd Foxx stand-up (which my eight-year-old sure ain't gonna listen to) and a Johnny Ray best of. I was a strange little kid.
First "real music" (there's real music on that Funny Bone thing, from all sorts of genres, but you know what I mean)--and I'd like to point out I was 11:
Oh, and I also got Pac-Man Fever sometime shortly after that.
Ah, too bad. The formatting for the Olivia Newton-John album looked fine in the preview.
