You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I grew up with country music. One of the earlier albums I had was The Dukes Of Hazzard TV show soundtrack on cassette.

The dance we did to "Boot Scootin' Boogie" was the same dance we used to do to KC and the Sunshine Band songs in the '70's, LOL.

And I'm sure those before us were doing it to Elvis or Little Richard, etc.
