White Noise You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I'm very interested in these band, I've read they were relevant in the origins of electronic music. Also, Black Tie, White Noise is a brilliant Bowie album whose title refers to black music on the one hand and electronic music on the other, the sound of the synths; the link between the two is, Bowie says, what has shaped his music.

Yeah, I also want to listen to all the pioneer electronic music made by the BBC team those years. Great music to discover!

Acts who put out 'sound library' records like Raymond Scott are interesting too. Barbra Striesand released an album in the early 70's called Barbra Streisand...And Other Musical Instruments in which some of the instruments are blenders, washing machines, and other everyday items. A relative gave it to me when I was going to school. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B.
