The situation could've been handled better had the venue announced before the show that recording devices were prohibited.

In this age of "this videocam is also my dictaphone is also my mail is also my phone that stores my nudes", it is really hard to prohibit. I need it to call 911, yaoming?

What about phones going off during classical concerts? These are not amplified things like rock concerts, so those phones are REALLY rude and disturbing. My neighbors and friends are musicians in the philharmonic, and they wish phones would simply be confiscated 'til after the performance.
