The Four Tops' "Reach Out (I'll Be There)" is the song I remember most from CH. To think, "What's Happening" was based on this movie. I don't remember a portly kid wearing a red beret and suspenders in the movie! omfg wink

DiamondPearl1 you truly Nailed it here.I Love this Film to death.the ending where Glynn Truman writes the Letter&toss's it in the Casket influenced me so much that I did the same gesture to my Grandfather.nothing like the Houseparty.I enjoyed the Music, the Element&whole Presentation.this was the Black version of "American graffti" but it went a whole step further IMHO.thank you for bringing this one to Light.

Yep Man i got mine Months ago on DVD.Some of the Cast was on "Vibe live" back in 98 when Sinbad was the Host.it is SInbad's Favorite Film of All-Time.yep it inspired "What's happenin"&also Boyz11Men among other folks.the ending Notes of "Cooley High" also Inspired the ending Credits of Charectors for "Boyz N the Hood".

No,but I remember his 'Welcome Back Kotter' co-star John Travolta did an album that same year.It featured the hit single "Let Her In".
