Herb Alpert

I was 9 years old when I heard Detroit's ONE and ONLY ELECTRIFYING MOJO play this...

for the first time, and I fell off my porch getting a scar on my right knee...that I still have to this very day.

All I understood was that song was HOT AS HELL!

So how was I just NOT going to end up being a die hard fan of...

shrug

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I remember he had and up tempo song around 1984 give or take a few years. The song was played on soul train and r&b stations back in the day. it wasn't making love in the rain or diamonds....both jams...but not what im talking about. Can anybody think of any uptempo cross over jams he had? I've been looking for the song for years. I don't know what the title is. Help?
