Our condolences to Dre, Seven, the Benjamin clan and the whole Dungeon Family.

Via Billboard reports:

Andre “3000″ Benjamin’s mother Sharon Benjamin-Hodo has passed away, a representative for the musician and actor confirms to Billboard.

Benjamin-Hodo was the founder and guiding force of The Starlight Camp for underprivileged children, which she ran out of the New Morning Light Missionary Baptist Church in Conley, GA — the church of her husband, Pastor Robert Hodo.

According to unconfirmed reports, she was found dead in her Atlanta home on what was her son’s 38th birthday. eek

In lieu of flowers, continued support of The Starlight Camp is appreciated by the family, Benjamin’s spokesperson notes.

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

May 29, 2013: MediaTakeOut.com has some VERY SAD NEWS to report. Hip hop superstar Andre 3000s mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo, was found dead yesterday inside her Atlanta home. Ms Sharon was 62 years old and in good health. There are reports circulating that suggest foul play may have been involved and we're told that police are ACTIVELY looking into EVERYTHING to determine the exact cause of death.

If the news isn't bad enough. Yesterday was her son Andre's 38th birthday. eek

Ms Sharon was the founder and guiding force of The Starlight Camp for underprivileged children, which she ran out of the New Morning Light Missionary Baptist Church in Conley, GA -- the church of her husband, Pastor Robert Hodo.

She was a fixture in the Atlnata area when it came to social issues. She was a GODLY woman and a LOVING woman. She will be missed by all.
