There have been some excellent hit song this summer with the retro vibe Bruno Mars-Treasure,Daft Punk-Get Lucky,Robin Thicke-Blurred Lines just to name a few..i for one am enjoying it and from the looks of things there is more to come!

Retro is the way to go Everyone always says that music was so much better "back in the day".They're right.But it's important to listen to those old records and try to understand why those records sound so much better.The songs had melody,solid songwriting,strong hooks....things you don't always hear in today's music.

I love it. I was just talking to my 14 year old daughter about it yesterday. She likes it too. Those three songs the OP mentioned are exactly the one's.

Myself, I'm still addicted to Random Access Memories by Daft Punk...one thing makes the difference for me, and that's instrumentation!

Real instruments, real drums, funky chicken scratch guitar, groovy bass lines...this record sounds so damn good!
