80s R&B flashback: "Rhythm Of The Street" by Patti Austin (1984)

Excellent 1984 single by Patti Austin.Produced by Narada Michael Walden,it is sorta like a "preview" of the sounds he would later come up with for Aretha Franklin's Who's Zoomin Who album.I always thought this song should have been a huge hit.The video is great, with a few hilarious scenes.

In the 80s,she worked with the hottest producers...Quincy Jones,Narada Michael Walden, then Jam and Lewis. Her label spared no expense.
