King Crimson plus Camel I tell ya. In my humble opinion the British bands of the 60 and 70's produced some of the most creative and interesting music ever. The only group of people that can compare with what the Brits did for popular music is the african american rhythm and blues groups of the 50' 60's and 70's and considering that a lot of the British bands were lovers of and copied from black american soul, blues and jazz musicians and singers, hell blacks damn near influenced it all. Anyway sorry for the rant.
They were never really as popular as some other British progressive rock bands but they did(do) have a decent size fan base.

Have you listened to any Caravan? Cunning Stunts, For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night, and my favourite - In The Land Of Grey And Pink. Oh my, brings back memories of sunshine and being stoned - and being young!
Listening to Kevin Ayers albums also brings back those memories. Is there anybody else who has slightly mysterious bruises? | |
