Whatever happened to Soul for Real?

VH1 has been playing "Candy Rain" one of the best jams from the 90s for the past few days.

"Candy Rain" is a great song music contains a strong,infectious hook that you couldn't get out of your head! As for whatever happened to them....I know they did a second album,released in 1996,but it flopped and we never heard from them again.

I think they were trying to release something at one point 6 or 7 years ago. I know one of them went to prison.

Often talked about group on this board. I still listen to this album as recently as last month. Heavy D had a "heavy" hand in their success. I think they wanted to appeal to an adult audience on their sophomore album.

I don't really remember. I know he ran from the police though. It was on a forum that I used to visit and they posted his mugshot. I'm going to try to dig up some old articles.

Yeah the first album was very good and the second sucked donkey balls. I think because

Heavy was wearing so many hats at the time they rushed the second album. Heavy was

an artist, producer, and president of a record company at the time.
