The Next Rihanna? like she is an original or old? can we get some adults on the music scene. At least years ago you only had to deal with Tiffany and Debbie Gibson being the only teens, now 9 out of 10 artists are marketing to 9 year olds, and kids dont buy music so why bother.

i feel like the music industry is becoming Nickelodeon, i mean good lord, not only is all the music in the mainstream being made for 10 year olds.. but its also being made by ten year olds.. Yes, younger generation of kids are a very important audience, SO GIVE THEM SOMETHING WITH SUBSTANCE! I wish this whole techno teen sugar pop would go out of style... like now. And i'm not sure what being the "next rihanna" means exactly.. She hasn't done anything to solitify herself as anything other than a current pop star.. Not bashing her, although not a fan.. i just don't understand how the industry has plummeted into what it is today.

The thing is Rihanna surprisingly has her own thing, which is that carribean(sp) swag. It sets her apart and is instantly recognizeable. It's what gives her whatever cool she has.

LOL, have you ever heard of "parents"? They tend to buy their kids lots and lots of things - music being towards the top of the list.

Vaguely ethnic female singer does dance music, so they hype her up with this comparison. She should be scared, because no one is replacing Rihanna anytime soon.

If I were her, I would run in the opposite direction to any comparions to Rihanna. But, I'm sure all she can see are the dollar signs, and possible hooks up with Chris B

maybe 15 years ago when NSYNC and Britney were selling, but parents arent buying cds for their kids, mainly because no one really sells cds, and who really cares. I mean i know someone mentioned Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, and Demi can sing pretty good but neither is selling records anymore and their new singles arent really moving either, they are already OLD news, thats the problem with peaking when you are 15 years old, your finished at 19. Music is not even close on the list of what parents buy kids since the POP boom which was eons ago, now maybe they give their kids an itunes card but honestly NO that is what you give another adult, kids get cell phone stuff and things like that, Music is near the bottom of the list for kids now.
