I first knew this through the dru hill and foxy brown remake big bad mama, in the 90s before discovering the original, and thought it sounded very Thriller like too, maybe it's the bassline.

This song's just sheer perfection! I'd love to have it in my record collection. Carl has some cool moves in the video. Instead of having all the curves a man likes those women have none lol
