If it was socially acceptable for me to do so I would marry the Smashing Pumpkins.

Here are two versions from the Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness box set. The first is just the strings. The second is the track without the strings.

This is an acoustic version that was included on the original triple album and also released as a b-side:

Here are two live acoustic performances. The first is from 1996 (and also included on the box set). The second is a recent solo performance from the Howard Stern Show.

Surely this is more "Tonight Tonight" than any sane person requires?

Bill the Goat is in my top ten favorite songwriters of all time. And Mellon Collie is the best

double album I've ever heard.

Easy Roy i love the pumpkins to but them fuckers seemed miserable!

Watch these interviews and tell you would wanna marry them lol

Darcy always and i mean ALWAYS looks miserable like Kristen Stewart.

I kind of have a thing for asian guys(My ex was asian smile ) and while i don't really like long hair... James was pretty hot with short hair i would make sweet rock n roll love to his monotone ass.

As for Billy well... he's Billy.

Darcy didn't always look miserable. I have seen her laugh and smile in many interviews. In the early/mid nineties pretty much all shy, nerdy teenage boys had a crush on Darcy (as well as Sean from White Zombie). Teenage boys + chicks with a bass guitar = masturbatory heaven.

Heh, a couple of nights ago I was watching the bonus disc included in the Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness box set with a friend. He's not too familar with them but he knew there was a woman in the band. When he saw James he said she was kind of cute. It got a little awkward when I had to tell him that James was not a lady. lol

I also remember many years ago watching the Kiss Exposed video. A (different) friend of mine was sure that Vinnie Vincent was a chick. Specifically I am referring to the footage from Rio, 1982. Maybe Vinnie's look was a little too androgynous?

OMG yes i will agree Sean is a pretty hot chick... i guess my fantasy of a heavy metal band with a hot asian bass player that sounds has the gruff voice like Sean will never come true but THAT is a completely different story eek

James looks way better when he has short hair with long hair he look's like a girl... and when he wears makeup that is too much hmm

Vinnie Vincent though... now THAT was overboard

These jokes are so 1987 lol

Thank Billy, he wrote the song. wink

Some fans were disappointed that there were not more "new" songs on the box set but when you consider that it was a double album to start with and there were three discs worth of b-sides it is not surprising that the vaults are pretty much empty. I quite like hearing demo/alternate versions and there are three discs worth in the box set (as well as a handful of "new" songs). I think that nearly every song on the album is featured in some sort of alternate version so if you have any favourites it may be worth seeking out these other versions.
