Karen Carpenter A Great Drummer? She was voted best drummer of the year back in the day, even beating John Bonham(Led Zep) three years in a row! All around talented musician for sure.

Ms. Carpenter wasn't a drummer, she was a percussionist.
I saw them in 74 and something had happened on stage and while they were fixing whatever, Karen put on a 15 minute drum exhibition. She was an exceptional drummer/percussionist, I have no doubt she could have had a career as a session player. | |

There use to be videos of the Carpenters entire performance at the White House (Nixon term) but I wasn't able to find them
