Just heard this again on the oldies station and remembered how gone I was on this song. Jermaine should have had his own career and not ended up how he is now... He had the voice and talent... with the right songs...

I remember 2 version of this song - one with added orchestration and one without. I've always liked the one without (on his self-titled album) better.

I always hated this song for the sheer facts that its title makes no grammatical sense whatsoever and that it hit #1 in spite of the fact that it makes no grammatical sense. Think about it: Why don't you do what you do when you did what you did to me???? What is she doing and how is that tied into what she did? UGH!!! Anyway, it's a pretty song, but when it gets down to it, its just a nonsense lyric. Correct me if I'm wrong. I won't take offense.

He had Iman before Michael as if you didn't know ( via video ) . To no fault of his own, this is the only song of his I hear on terrestrial radio and that was on the AC station, hell the Urban station rarely touches Let's Get Serious.
