What was the point of the MJ biopic? I think we all knew everything there was to know..

True, but I think he really wanted to do something nice since he's a huge MJ stan, but it was awful... :/

That's why I compare it to what's going on with Marvin's film. This may destroy Jesse's career (I don't know about Marvin's legacy being tarnished but some parts would be overdramatized for Hollywood purposes probably lol).

We sure was. It's partially my fault for keep on comparing it to what may happen with Marvin's film.

Me too. I just don't see nothing good out of it. The fact they rushed this is not good for the film's future and its seemingly unbiased portrayal of MG. Best believe the Gaye family ain't gonna rest until they get that film banned from getting released.

Then it's a piss poor film then. This kinda reminds me of the Charlie Parker film. People rarely knew he was a genius, they did know he was a stoned out junkie. That's why no one will get Miles' film out.

I'm not expecting anything good from this venture... Like that awful depressing one-sided biopic I saw on Jimi Hendrix...

I think its really sad because legendary singers like Marvin deserve better bio pics.

Might be. One of the biopics was budgeted for $8 million but I don't know if it's the same one. But yeah, it's probably some cheap project. I mean, you see how quickly they're trying to ship this while under the prying eyes of the Gaye family and possibly Berry Gordy (even though his Motown music is still not used in this one).

He was pissed lol and they even made a statement about the movie ...

I really hope the Marvin movie isnt as bad as the MJ one though, hopefully they have better actors in it...
