What year was this? My Uncle Teddy could do a MEAN impression of Little Richard. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Love it and he was totally right, motherfuckers been stealing off him since God saw him burning in that bush.
One of the most entertaining clips of all time.
Ad teh winner is ....Me!!! y'all never gave me nothing.
Needless to say 1989 became the year for honouring Little Richard. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I love how he says it like a preacher though. IF I WASN'T BORN, YOU WOULDN'T BE ROCKING! WHOOOO! SHUT UP!
"I started James Brown and he didn't even thank me!" He said that in '69 lol

it's true - and unfortunately, many of the artists that were inspired by him are dead, but those still rockin - Stones, McCartney, Everly Brothers, Bob Seger, CCR, Rod Stewart, David Bowie, Elton John, Deep Purple, MotorHead, AC/DC, Bruno Mars, hundreds of others - and of course, Prince should all send that man a cheque.

Hold it lol Everlys? I know they admired him and covered him but they don't sound like Little Richard soundalikes to me.

I recall Little Richard talking about being the architech of Rock and Roll as early as 66. Richard didn't use those exact words but he said he had been ripped off ( in more ways than one) and not given any credit. I think there's a lot of anger behind the, the ha ha routine.

Most def. But a part of me seriously think it's misguided...

In what way? | |

Like the artists not acknowledging him. He complained that James Brown didn't acknowledged him in Rolling Stone in 1969 but I'm sure James gave him props every other time (according to Charles White, James did indeed looked up to Little Richard and consider him his idol). His anger was understood when it came to labels ripping him off and people choosing artists younger than him but he shared that anger with Chuck and Jerry Lee.
