Kudos for branching out. Shades of mid-90's P or Van Hunt's latest effort.

The guitar part probably just reminds people of "Kiss" or something.

His idea of the "future" seems to be a complete throwback to the late-80s / early-90s. I do like this song more than many other recent tracks though. It's actually quite enjoyable.

Okay, now I hear it. It's supposed to have a Skrillex-influence on it.

This song doesn't really remind me of Prince, it reminds me of Boogie Nights by Heatwave

But I have been listening to lots of Todd lately, and there are clearly similarities. Mostly their insane musicianship. But sometimes the music actually reminds me of Prince. Here, I am reminded of a song like The Most Beautiful Girl in the World (and he plays all the instruments on it)

and this song doesn't sound like Prince, but the string intro definitely reminds me of something...

I agree about the voice. Doesn't really suit. Like the song so far, though.

Not saying it sounds similar, but I was reminded of this song when I heard this track.

Good song, and I definitely hear a Prince influence in it.
