D'ANGELO BONNAROO SUPERJAM EPISODE 3 ** Questlove had a busy day **
Bonnaroo365 continues its look at how he engineered D'Angelo's shocking US comeback for the ambitious and legendary 2013 Superjam!
Follow Questlove as he juggles rehearsals, bandleader duties and a main-stage set by The Roots, all before this historic late-night performance got cooking and made its way into the wee hours of the morning.
Episode 3 features the band in prime form as they weave seamlessly from one Funkadelic classic, "Funky Dollar Bill," to another, "Hit It and Quit It."
The series features HD master footage and never-before-seen backstage rehearsal material.
All music was remixed by Questlove. Filmed and directed by Danny Clinch.

D'Angelo was by far the most exciting and thrilling live music experience i had in the last 10 years! i wnt to 4 shows and all of them where monumental. That jam at bonnaroo speaks for itself. i mean they rehearsed only once the afternoon before the show! this is a JAM, goddamn!, and the setlist is VERY impressive. He's truly keepin' that GOOD sound alive... Absolutely the most anticipated record in 2013 for me! i'm sure he's gonna kick ass major way! | |
