Her only #1 R&B hit single! I remember in 1988, being an avid Billboard reader and seeing it sitting up there at #1. I started crying happy tears. Also, it was Rick who was quoted in saying that it "wasn't one of her better songs." I found that a little perplexing, but hey...he WAS her mentor, so to each his/her own, right?
