Its just pure listening to "Miss Pretty" in presitine condition, and I'm just over the outtakes from the famous album. The new album will be a heavy rotation as I expected, although I think it sounds like a compilation of songs he recorded through out the years, not that I'm complaining at all and don't get me started on the title track, my god!!!!

It's funny; I've been listening heavily to "Inspiration Information" and "Shuggie Otis Plays The Blues" over the past week or so, but had no idea the "Wings of Love/Inspiration Information" package was coming out.

Listening to Shuggie Otis, as closely as I have been lately, even led me to appreciating Koko Taylor, Freddy King, and a few others, on a deeper level than I had in the past. I like the idea of this latest Otis project. Although allmusic only gave it three and a half stars, I like the way they described the way the new "Wings of Love" collection of songs came together; how it was produced in a vacuum over 25 years, and how it's sound is unconcerned with what is current or popular; that it's just good music.

"Wings of Love/Inspiration Information" will be included in my next round of CD purchases, with certainty. Thanks for the heads-up.

I've been following the news about "Inspiration Information" since last year, given that there was talk about including his outtakes and the elusive b-side "Magic".

The sad part is, he had to remaster his album with addition bonus tracks to promote his new album. The good part is, WE win old/new & new music from Mr.Otis for everybody to savor.

I think you're gonna love the new album, sure it doesn't flow like "Inspiration Information" but it doesn't matter because the materials are very strong IMO.
