How would you rate Jeffrey Osborne as a singer? To me, he is one of the more reliable rnb voices. I wouldn't say he is amazing, but you know his voice when you hear it. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

He's a great singer of medicre material. Love ballads, smooth R&B. Nothing revolutionary, but he sings that stuff as well as anyone. My Legacy

He's one of the greatest male R&B vocalists.I tend to prefer the stuff he did with L.T.D. but as a solo artist,he recorded some excellent tracks,as well.

Great singer with an exceptional tone in his voice. Keyboardist and producer George Duke mentioned Jeffery as his fave singer to work with. Mediocre material?... k, each their own. -

And by woo woo woo...yeah I would have to go with mediocre! But you are right he does have some really good stuff too My Legacy

^ Ok i see, yeah... I'd have to give "Don't Stop" a relisten, as his first 3 albums are the ones i mostly heard. - "Woo Woo" is indeed one of my lesser faves as well. What's funny is that he sang that mid tempo at one of Sinbad's soul jams in Aruba. At one moment he asks if there are singers in the crowd. After the first or second guest singer, a group of people point at a guy. Jeffrey asks the dude: "...You wanna sing along?...", "...I can try..." replies the visitor who then hits it off and gets the audience go wild. Jeffrey then quickly cuts it off, saying: "...Ooookaaayyy!!!..." - [Edited 4/13/13 8:25am]

Osborne is a great singer btw I'm shocked nobody mentioned "Stay With Me Tonight" It's 1 of my favorites by him.
I've always been obsessed with the part from 4:53 to 4:58 in this song

'Don't Stop' isn't one of his best albums, but it does contain two of his best ballads: "Let Me Know" and "Crazy Bout 'Cha" His first two solo albums are his best work.

He's cool. He has a very soulful voice and was one of the R&B front men of the 80s (alongside Luther, Freddie, Alexander Oneal, Peabo, James Ingram, MJ, Prince etc)....There was too much competition for him to shine among the rest but still has decent material. He best song (solo, or with LTD) will forever be "Love Ballad" IMO.
