James Blake's new album Overgrown is out "there"

Y'all really need to listen. So far, it's sounding like it might be album of the year.

Lovely voice and haunting song... cool

James Blake is not happy with his label's publicity tactics, including that they shared five of the album's 10 songs early.

Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

I'm over artists not being happy with their labels. They need to understand what they're signing up for. hammer

You seem to be under the impression that labels are honest with the artists they sign, or that they follow through on what they promise. Quite often, they aren't, and they don't.

That's my point, artists should know that record labels are bound to fuck them over. lol

Yeah it's easier said than done.

But they would never sign with them to begin with if they believed that was going to happen. Some of the best liars actors on Earth are record executives.

That's why I couldn't be in this business because I know an exec would try to get me with that sweet talk and then before you know it, they're ripping you off.

Love the second half of Overgrown, but the first half is a bit boring. I hope there's a longer version of that one, with more of the second half. lol

Life Round Here is tits! Quickly one of my favorite James Blake songs.

Which is why it's imperative that every artist hire an entertainment attorney before entering into a record label contract. That attorney can review the document details and explain the jargon.
