Yea I remember that!..she talked about her on MOTOWN 40 Forever special..I think she said that she had this thing with her voice that you really couldnt put your hand on it..but in my opinion, I think she has some type of admiration for her, being that they're both from Detroit and they both have recorded each others song..Aretha does It's My Turn and Diana does Call Me(I Love You)...oh yeah a lot people forget that Wilson Pickett had called her ugly and said that when he was with The Falcons, they would make Diana sit in the back while the other girls sit up front..but he said that he knew she was gonna make it because no one had a voice like her

I agree Aretha was sincere with her words about Diana..I don't remember everything she said but I remember she praised her..LOL.....I'm trying to recall the last time Aretha & Diana were @ an event together....There're 2 Major events that Aretha and Diana WOULD have crossed paths..."The Soul Train 25th Anniversary special" that aired on CBS. Aretha was asked to come but she declined...Then there was Oprahs Weekend tribute...Aretha was invited but said no...LOL... [Edited 4/19/13 4:37am]

I think ReRe is looking to the side, not at Tina "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

I think the same. In fact it looks like Tina was actually talking to Lena Horne and not Aretha. I think I saw a video of Tina and Aretha hugging but I'm not sure. I know they were around the same aisle while Patti was singing for Aretha.

Oh come on ScriptGirl. ReRe barely FORGAVE Oprah when she called Tina "The Goddess of Rock n Roll"...Then IT-girl went on stage and had the audacity to introduce Tina as "The Queen"... **********************************************
I didnt see Tina & Beyonce's performance @ The GRAMMYS. YouTube is AFRAID to show it and they BAN it every time someone posts the perfromance.... ****************************************************
Back to Diana..I think the biggest mistake she's making right now is turning down Tyler Perry's offer to write/Produce/Direct a Movie about ANYTHING she wants to play...LOL...You would think that would be an offer to good to refuse but Tyler told Oprah he can't get Diana to agree to do it...Diana's acting ability is beyond this World but Acting is not True to her "heart"...It's obvious her Dream was to become a Performer I don't think she ever visioned herself as a Movie Star. I guess that part just came with her Fame...Black Actresses have it Rougher than Black Male Actors if you ask me. White Directors & Studios can work a Black Guy into any Script but it seems they are CONFUSED with wear to Put a Black Woman...It's 2013 and things havent changed in so-called LIBERAL Hollywood...
